This blog is in memory of our beloved Border Collie Tippy who died on July 28th 2010. Every Sunday over the course of the next few months I will post memories and pictures of her life with us, both as a working farm dog, family pet, best friend and work mate.

A weekend break for Tippy.

This weeks picture of Tippy was taken at Sutton Bank near Thirsk in North Yorkshire. We were on a weekend break and stopped off here for a walk. Later that day we found a bed and breakfast that took dogs although we often went bed and breakfast and Tippy would just sleep in the car, she was a very good dog and made no fuss of anything you asked her to do, in fact she was probably happier in the car than in a strange house with strange noises. For the evening meal we went to a local inn and they let Tippy come in were she lay under the table as quiet as a mouse.

  1. What a good girl, behaving at a restaurant. I'm sure she loved going different places with you, enjoying all aspects of your life.

  2. I would love to do those things, but there is no way that I could lay under a table in a cafe and be as quiet as a mouse! Tippy was a super dog :)

  3. Sweet Tippy! Baron would never be able to achieve the things Tippy did either! He'd want to be in everybody's business and barking when he couldn't...but he's so cute I just have to love him!
