This blog is in memory of our beloved Border Collie Tippy who died on July 28th 2010. Every Sunday over the course of the next few months I will post memories and pictures of her life with us, both as a working farm dog, family pet, best friend and work mate.

Kinder Scout Walk.

Last week I spoke of how in later life Tippy had a limit as to how far she wanted to walk, in her younger days there were no such restrictions and she was quite happy to walk as far as you wanted to take her in any weather that was going at the time.
This looks a nice place for a lie down.
Rough and tumble in the snow.
Come on Fallon lets go.

This weeks pictures are from a family walk on Kinder Scout in Derbyshire. As you can see it was a fun day out for all concerned whether you be man or beast.

  2. Hello there Rob...
    GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
I picked up your profile from reading Kim's blog and was drawn to this blog of yours. My own 'Maxdog' was helped across the Rainbow bridge just 4 days before Tippy.
What a wonderful way to eulogise Tippy.
    What a beautiful dog too!
I love your gardening blog too...oh, the tranquility of a garden!
    Sending warm wishes
